Vor Frue Church has always been an important figure in Aalborg. This can be seen, among other things, in the fact that it, together with Budolfi Cathedral and the Monastery Church, is symbolized in the old coat of arms of Aalborg.
The stylish neo-Romanesque Church of Vor Frue Church lies wedged in between small cozy houses and buildings in the middle of old Aalborg.
When the church was built in the early 12th century, it was called St. Mary's Church and was connected to a Benedictine monastery on the eastern outskirts of the city.
The current church dates from 1878
